The Collection has received many honors, including the prestigious Good Design Award of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. Kurt’s rugs are found in the finest homes and in commercial spaces from corporate headquarters to financial institutions. An internationally exhibited artist and designer, Kurt creates not only with his innovative use of color and form but also with the tactile elements of weave and texture. He has studied the traditional arts of fine rug making – mastering these time honored techniques to express his original and contemporary designs. Every rug in the Collection is a true marriage of art and craft. Kurt works in close collaboration with partner mills to assure that every design is successfully realized. Each heirloom quality rug is hand made by master artisans, from the finest wools and silks available.
